About
Toh Ah Wat faces the challenge of limited mobility due to her physical disability, relying on an electric wheelchair because her legs have limited strength and movement. Navigating spaces that are not wheelchair-friendly, such as those with stairs, narrow doorways, or uneven surfaces, can be especially difficult for her, often requiring her to find accessible routes and seek assistance for certain tasks, making daily activities more complicated and time-consuming. Ah Wat started her journey in craft after witnessing a class at the Handicaps Welfare Association and later joined ART:DIS's Crafters Guild to expand her knowledge and hone her skills. To date, her portfolio includes candle-making, pottery, paper-cutting, and woodworking. She is also a skilled painter, with Chinese ink as her medium of choice.
