Celebrate [sel – uh –breyt ] verb - to observe a day or commemorate an event with ceremonies or festivities.

In Celebration, Genine began with a gentle breeze of oceanic hues, steady and calculated. With friends making art alongside her, pausing occasionally to observe their interactions with one another. Several weeks later, in the joy of seeing a fellow artist that had been absent for weeks, she reached out to her trainer to ask for more yellow paint to "high five" the canvas. Sparkling bright with an assortment of light and dark colours, Genine invites you to celebrate with her through this reminder that life is just so much better when you're with friends.

Genine is a beneficiary of Extraordinary People Limited's Creative Lab Programme. Although born with Epilepsy, through her art, Genine creates glimpses of her inner world, motivated solely by self-discovery, inquisitiveness, and play. Amidst her artistic process, she is expressive, gentle and explorative. Each of Genine's paintings projects new awareness emerging from her artistic process and her use of her hands and feet in creating panoramic landscapes that engage the viewer in their complex textures and details.
