Liberation

Painted when alone in the studio, Genine was initially hesitant to begin. After realizing that today was the day she would be painting on her own, she somewhat reluctantly began. In only a matter of minutes, the inspiration began to flow. Moving rapidly in multiple directions, she covered the canvas with her first color and asked for more... lots more paint. Though initially solemnly swaying with the lo-fi music playing, she began to giggle and smile. In Liberation, we see the celebration of solitude and the space it creates for us to truly be.

About
Genine is a beneficiary of Extraordinary People Limited's Creative Lab Programme. Although born with Epilepsy, through her art, Genine creates glimpses of her inner world, motivated solely by self-discovery, inquisitiveness, and play. Amidst her artistic process, she is expressive, gentle and explorative. Each of Genine's paintings projects new awareness emerging from her artistic process and her use of her hands and feet in creating panoramic landscapes that engage the viewer in their complex textures and details.
