In May 2015, Lay Peng reconnected with art through her friends. With innate talent, she became a self-taught artist by studying art books. Initially, Lay Peng painted with acrylic on paper, focusing on landscapes as her theme. She later enrolled in adult art classes, which helped her broaden her themes and explore various mediums. Despite living with schizoaffective disorder, Lay Peng uses art as a positive and expressive outlet, demonstrating her resilience and creativity.
