Spring in Highland
Spring in Highland
By Nguyen Phuong Ha Anh
From Vietnam, Hanoi
My painting depicts spring in the highlands. Vietnam, my home country, is a place with many hills and mountains. The mountains in Vietnam are very beautiful. This is where the majority of ethnic minority people live. During the Lunar New Year in 2024, my parents took me to travel to Sapa. I was truly amazed by the scenery there. The spring in the highlands has left a deep impression in my mind. Wild flowers are blooming and competing to show off their colors, while Hmong and Dao children are wearing their traditional costumes. Both the landscape and the people are full of vitality. By painting this scene, I hope to introduce a unique beauty of Vietnam to my international friends.
