Sunset in Y Ty

Silhouetted against a fiery sky, two gnarled oak sentinels stand atop a misty hill. Their twisted branches reach out, intertwining like old friends. Golden light filters through leaves, casting long shadows across terraced rice fields below. Wisps of cloud cling to distant peaks, painted in hues of purple and orange. These ancient guardians have witnessed centuries of sunsets, silent witnesses to the ever-changing beauty of the landscape in Y Tý, Bat Xat, Lao Cai.

About

Duy Vu Do Tuan, born in 2007 in Hanoi, is an autistic student with a passion for art since age two. Unlike his peers who were drawn to toys, Duy was captivated by coloured pencils from the age of two, drawing on any available surface, including walls, furniture, and even his parents' wedding photos. He began formal education at four at the Support Center for Inclusive Education Development. Duy has participated in art classes and three group exhibitions at the Megan Art Center. His artwork mainly depicts natural landscapes of Hanoi and northern Vietnam, with some abstract piece.
