Yew Eng, who resides in an old folks' home, is paraplegic due to a severe fall, leaving her unable to move or feel her legs. This condition, resulting from damage to the lower spine, necessitates her use of a wheelchair and assistance with daily activities. Despite these challenges, Chuan Yew Eng has established herself as a professional artist with extensive experience in oils, acrylics, watercolors, Chinese ink, and craft making. Her journey into the visual arts began with a love for craft making, inspired by her mother, an avid seamstress who imparted her knowledge to Yew Eng from an early age. Over 40 years, Yew Eng's artistic repertoire has expanded to include paintings in various media, clay work, and papercraft.
